I had nothing more in mind when I started this picture then to try blocking out Marc. It developed into an exercise in shading skin, the knack to which still just eludes me, and then I decided to throw it on a background. So in all the seven or so hours of work this has taken me, I have not had a single minute of foresight other then where next to put a stroke down. It's turned out rather well, if I may.
For the record, you're viewing this at about 30% of its original size. The full size I worked at was 3104 × 3972. I might throw up a progress animation just for giggles into scraps.
I could bore you all with Marc's history but for now let's suffice with this: there is a bitchtonne of emotional angst there. For those of you interested, he is the same man featured in this WIP here:
